“O Baile” will be returning to London’s Islington Metal Works on the 2nd of July with a stellar lineup. First up will be two projects from Portugal who have been making waves outside of their native country. First up are :papercutz, a young band from Oporto whose unique blend of acoustic instruments and electronic textures have seen them gain widespread critical praise, win an award at London’s People’s Choice Awards, another at the Internationl Songwriting Contest and play at the SXSW festival. Next up, Lisbon’s master dubstep duo Octa Push whose sun-drenched urban sound has seen them gain the respect of such major artists as Thom Yorke and Buraka Som Sistema and play at festivals such as Sonar and Glade, they are also one of the few portuguese acts to play at London’s legendary fabric. Rounding out the lineup will be Minus artist Matthew Hawtin. The visual artist (and younger brother of dance music maestro Richie Hawtin) is known for his unique and subtle blend of ambiance and big room beats. With a lineup of this calibre, the upcoming edition of “O Baile” at Islington Metal Works on the 2nd of July, will be a truly unmissable event.
