Madame Soirée com pronuncia do Norte
Brimming with youthful energy and enthusiasm, Gustavo Pereira and Filipe Rodrigues (AKA Philly) first crossed paths at Oporto’s Official Afterhours hotspot - Maré Alta. Ambitious and constantly searching out new ways to wow crowds with their technical skills and track selection, the duo who formed in 2004, quickly rose to notoriety thanks to their residency at Oporto’s Industria club where they played alongside a huge list of international superstars such as Richard Dorfmeister, Gui Boratto, James Holden, Magda, Sven Vath, Paul Kalkbrenner and many many others. In 2008 they opened what is now Oporto’s hottest club, Gare. A whole host of techno superstars has graced it’s DJ booth and the club is undoubtedly one of Portugal’s most groundbreaking venues for cutting edge dance music. Gustavo and Phil are also the founders of Portugal’s biggest electronic music festival, Neopop.
The guys and are sure to set the Miradouro’s DJ booth on fire with their wildy eclectic and powerful selection of tunes. This is one warm up for the weekend you simply can’t afford to miss, this friday, the 30th of July from 18:00 to 21:00.

Jovens e entusiastas, Gustavo Pereira e Filipe Rodrigues (Philly), habitantes da Invicta,cruzaram-se pela primeira vez no The Oporto Official Afterhours, o Maré Alta, considerado na época o mais vibrante do país. Ambiciosos e interessados pelo djing fugiam frequentemente à rotina para praticar, expandindo e partilhando tanto os seus conhecimentos como o gosto mútuo pela música de dança. Enquanto Philly, era residente do AfterHours e sócio-gerente da conhecida loja de discos - Bimotor DJ Porto, Gustavo assegurava a sua residência e cargo de programador musical, no Industria.
Mais tarde, em 2004, inspirados na projecção de algumas duplas da altura, uniram-se, dando origem aos Freshkitos e dando ao underground português a inovação e dinâmica de que este precisava. Enquanto Freshkitos, com força e diversidade, começaram a contagiar os espaços onde actuam, dentro e fora do país.
Em 2008, e quando se começava a apostar na dance scene portuense com a baixa do Porto em constante rejuvenescimento, inauguram, em conjunto com Nuno F. o Gare Club, ponto de passagem obrigatório na cidade. Um espaço dedicado essencialmente ao panorama electrónico em geral e às novas tendências a que este se liga, por onde passam artistas nacionais e internacionais como Richard Dorfmeister, Gui Boratto, James Holden, Magda, Sven Vath, Paul Kalkbrenner , e onde Stereo Addiction mantêm uma residência.
Gustavo e Phil são também os fundadores do Neo Pop Festival.
A dupla Freshkitos vai actuar no encerramento do primeiro ciclo das Madame Soirées, no dia 30 de Julho. A série de eventos que tem posto Lisboa e os seus turistas a dançar aos finais de tarde de sextas-feiras, no Miradouro S. Pedro de Alcântara, chega agora ao fim, depois de 4 meses de musica agitada.
Gustavo e Phil vêm do Porto directamente para uma das melhores vistas de Lisboa e prometem causar estragos na cabine do Miradouro.

Stereo Addiction de regresso ao Gare
Saturday the 29th of May marks the third night of Stereo Addiction’s residency at Gare, Porto’s most notorious nightclub. This time Gustavo and John-E will be bringing one of Portugal’s most talented up coming young DJs. At the tender age of 23, Henriq is already a member of Da Providers resident DJ team and has spun records countless times at Lisbon’s biggest club, Lux. His sound is based around the funkiest beats that modern house has to offer and he will surely be a big hit with the regulars at Gare. This is one night you won’t want to miss with two of the most interesting projects in Portugal’s current dance music scene.

Stereo Addiction no Optimus Hype
Stereo Addiction have been invited to join the lineup at the first of a series of events hosted by portuguese telecommunications company Optimus to widen the apreciation of quality dance music. These evenings are known as Optimus Hype and the first of the six events will take place on the 2nd of June in Lisbon’s Museu da Carris. The headliners will be Loco Dice, Gaiser, Robert Dietz and Reboot. Along with Stereo Addiction, a whole list of cutting edge artists have been chosen from among the cream of Lisbon’s underground music scene including Expander, Kaesar & Pedro Zoy and Analodjica.
A Optimus Hype tem como objectivo divulgar a boa música electrónica em Portugal, com eventos já marcados para Lisboa e Porto. Papercutz to play London “O Baile” in July
Papercutz are a young band from Oporto in Portugal whose striking blend of acoustic and electronic sounds has seen them release their debut album on Montreal’s Apegenine Recordings, win an award at London’s prestigious People’s Music Awards, gain praise from BBC presenter Anne Nightingale and XFM’s Eddy Temple-Morris, and receive an invitation to play at the biggest alternative music festival in the United States - SXSW.
Since Madame and Lumin are always on the lookout for promising young talent, they immediately invited Papercutz to play at the July edition of “O Baile” which will go down at London’s Islington Metal Works, a venue that has hosted everything from concerts, to exhibitions, to Spike Lee’s private parties.

Papercutz são um projecto musical que nasceu no Porto cuja mistura de texturas acústicas e electrónicas os levou a lançarem o seu primeiro album na editora canadiana Apegenine Recordings, ganhar um prémio em Londres no People’s Music Awards, receber o reconhecimento de Anne Nightingale, apresentadora da BBC, e Eddy Temple-Morris, um dos principais DJs da XFM, e serem convidados a tocar no maior festival de música alternativa dos Estados Unidos - a SXSW.

Stereo Addiction hit Gare in February
On Saturday the 6th of February, Stereo Addiction will kick off their bi-monthly residency at Oporto’s most notorious club – Gare. Gustavo and John-e will be bringing their explosive fusion of Tech House, Electro and Techno every two months. They promise a whole host of surprises, including special guests handpicked for the occasion. February sees them being joined in the booth by up-and-coming DJ and producer Twofold.

The awesome performance at this year’s Sudoeste festival (which you can listen to here) is still paying off for Gustavo & John-E. Their slamming set thoroughly impressed the owners of Porto’s hottest techno nightspot, Gare, and a date was set for the boys to bring their unique sonic cocktail to the club’s dj booth for the first time. On the 7th of November, Stereo Addiction will be taking to the decks at Gare, so be sure to show up if you are anywhere near Porto that weekend.

As Heartbreakerz vão estar no Pitch a encerrar as hostilidades após a actuação do conjunto Budda Power Blues. Portugal’s favourite female DJ duo will take part in a very special event this upcoming weekend. On Saturday the 25th of July, Maus Hábitos, Pitch Club and Passos Manuel, three of Oporto’s most renowned night spots are joining forces to bring clubbers a truly unique experience.
