SATURDAY - 12 DECEMBER - GUSTAVO (STEREO ADDICTION) @ CAFE 1001
Even though she has made Lisbon her permanent place of residence, Madame continues to promote the artists on her roster in the U.K. This upcoming weekend, Gustavo Rodrigues (one half of Portugal’s biggest DJ Duo Stereo Addiction) will be taking to the decks at one of London’s premier underground night spots, Cafe 1001 (Where he played last year with his DJ partner John-E and Rui Da Silva) in Brick Lane - undoubtedly one of the capital’s most relevant areas in terms of all things musical and the centre of London’s burgeoning street art scene.
Since 1990, Brick Lane has been the stomping ground of the U.K capital’s hottest clubs such as 93 Feet East and Vibe Bar. Cafe 1001 has a highly respectable reputation, just this month, for example, it has seen the likes of Raudive (of Cocoon Recordings) and Fabric resident Macpherson.
On Saturday the 12th of December, from 19:00-00:00, Gustavo one of Portugal’s, most talented DJs, will once again showcase his formidable skills at Cafe 1001

SUNDAY - 24th May
Secret Wars - England vs Portugal at STREETFEST - PORTUGUESE ARTISTS ANNOUNCED!
KLIT
Got into street art in 1998. Since then he has developed his own unique style of graffiti, characterized by fluid forms and designs that have frequently been mistaken for floral motifs. His words, however, are always present and just on the very edge of subliminal communication. This writer has taken part in a wide variety of international gatherings and exhibitions. The respect and admiration he has garnered on the streets in the last few years have been consolidated by his legal work in the hall of fame and in his exhibitions. lettersnotflowers.com
MAR
The cartoon dude. He became well known for his versatility and the for the creativity that shines through in the way he draws. He is highly respected for the work he has done in the hall of fame. He has been working with the LEG crew since 2001. He is responsible for organizing workshops and events such as Seixal Graffiti, nowadays he makes a living from work he is commissioned to do. hellomynameismar.com
FROM THE CAVE
From The Cave is the artistic project of a writer with a very unique talent and graphic vision, who’s been painting around the Lisbon suburbs since 1998. His work emerged from the wish to explore mediums such as illustration and graphic design, by creating another identity that would still enable him to maintain his link with “pure graffiti”, free of restrictions. His creativity is frequently expressed by way of a singular universe, full of hybrid and fantastic creatures, monsters and mythical beings that live together, doused with humour and progressive sarcasm.

Secret Wars is the world’s premier live art battle - working in similar ways to Fight Club, Secret Wars battles are set up / promoted through word of mouth.
The rules are simple: 90 minutes on the clock, black paint only - on white walls, no sketches / no pencils, invisible middle line with an artist on either side, judged using a 3 point system - two guest judges and a crowd vote (using a decibel reader)
The upcoming Secret Wars will take place at StreetFeSt in London on Sunday the 24th of May where a group of Lisbon artists will face off against a similar team of London based misfits.
StreetFeSt is a new breed of festival where the onus is on promoting and merging creative talents. StreetFeSt is taking it back to the ‘old skool’, by blending the spirit and soul of those nostalgic rocking block parties, with creative flair and modern trends. StreetFeSt actively involves visitors in the day’s events by creating an interactive experience!
StreetFeSt will be held in the pioneering surroundings of Shoreditch . With ten hours of innovative showcases – featuring music, live art, films, hair and fashion shows plus fixed gear biking, rollerblade and skateboard demonstrations, all from some of the UK’s top collectives, this is not an event to miss.

WEDNESDAY - May 13th
Notwork at the Hospital
citizensound are back in action with NOTWORK - the live music event for everyone working in the music, marketing and communications space
The latest event showcases two of our favourite new bands FANFARLO andNOTTY CULTURE
Fanfarlo’s debut album Reservoir, has received rave reviews from both the NME and Mojo, while Number 1 celebrity fan David Bowie reckon they make “uplifting music with delicious melancholia.” The band recently completed a nine date UK stadium tour supporting Snow Patrol, followed by six gigs in four days at the SXSW music industry jamboree in Austin, Texas. This will be a rare chance to see them up-close and acoustic, in the intimate setting of the Hospital Club, the unique Covent Garden venue that is designed specifically for the creative industries.
Support on the evening comes from London-based two-piece Notty Culture, who fuse elements of Ska and Funk to the upbeat feel good rhythms of Motown. Expect song’s about binge drinking, being broke and the Brazilian wax, reflecting contemporary British Culture in their own inimitable style.
