AS MADAME SOIRÉES REGRESSAM AO MIRADOURO S. PEDRO DE ALCÂNTARA (SETEMBRO)
Após uma paragem estratégica no mês de Agosto, as Madame Soirées estão de regresso ao Miradouro S. Pedro de Alcântara. Entre Abril e Julho, os finais de tarde mais agitados de Lisboa trouxeram à cabine do Miradouro alguns dos nomes mais interessantes da electronica nacional como John-E & Gustavo, Twofold, Kaesar, ou Freshkitos. Para o mês de Setembro, Madame decidiu alargar o estilo musical para dar a conhecer o hip-hop de DJ Glue, o rock n’ rave de Bullycau, o house hipnótico de Zé Belo, e o estilo incógnito de Justin Case. Arranca já esta sexta-feira, dia 3 de Setembro, a primeira edição desta grande reentrée com Bullycau (na foto), um jovém produtor e DJ de Lisboa que lançou o seu primeiro albúm de originais e Junho deste ano, juntamente com uma remistura do tema “Character Assassination” de Del Marquis (guitarrista dos Scissor Sisters). SÁBADO - 25 DE SETEMBRO - NATHAN FAKE, MATTHEW HAWTIN, STEREO ADDICTION & TWOFOLD @ “O BAILE” (LOFT)
“O Baile” regressa a Lisboa no dia 25 de Setembro e, tal como prometido, o cabeça de cartaz vai ser um dos maiores nomes da música techno actual - Nathan Fake.
O britânico é um dos produtores mais respeitados e influentes do mundo e um dos artistas principais da editora Border Community. Para não quebrar com a tradição, Madame e Lumin decidiram convidar um segundo cabeça de cartaz internacional. Matthew Hawtin é um artista visual (e irmão mais novo de Richie Hawtin) cujos dj sets procuram fazer a ponte entre as melodias hipnóticas e as batidas mais fortes. Os visuais vão estar a cargo de Jack Featherstone, um designer que já trabalhou com os Simian Mobile Disco, The Count & Sinden, a editora Border Community, entre muitos outros. A encerrar o cartaz, Stereo Addiction e Twofold vão estar presentes para assegurar que a festa não para no dia 25 de Setembro no Loft em Lisboa.

SEXTA - 4 DE JUNHO - MODERAT @ LX FAKTORY (Sala das Colunas)
Dia 4 de Junho, a Sala das Colunas no LX Factory vai ser palco de um dos espectáculos mais aguardados em Portugal. O super-projecto Moderat - uma colaboração entre Modeselektor (Gernot Bronsert e Sebastian Szary) e Apparat (Sascha Ring) - apresenta-se pela primeira vez no nosso país. O trio formou-se em 2002 para gravar um EP a lançar numa das maiores editoras de Berlin, a BPitch Control de Ellen Allien. Após seis anos de repouso, Modeselektor e Apparat voltaram a marcar encontro no estúdio. 1 ano depois lançam, em Abril de 2009, o seu disco de estreia iniciando então uma tournée mundial onde colaboram com o artista visual Pfadfinderei e que lhes rendeu o prémio de melhor live act de 2009 da Resident Advisor, destronando artistas como Laurent Garnier, Booka Shade, Fever Ray e Mathew Jonson. Dia 4 de Junho marca a sua estreia em terras lusas e o projecto promete arrasar com o público português.

SEXTA - 26 DE MARÇO -FACE OCULTA @ STONES
Na Sexta-feira dia 26 de Março, Madame apresenta a noite Face Oculta em Lisboa. O evento terá lugar numa das casas mais antigas de Lisboa, a discoteca Stones. Antes do 25 de Abril, antes do Plateau , antes dos “K” invadirem Lisboa, antes do Frágil, inaugurou o Stones na Lapa, este é sem duvida o espaço indicado para este evento que conta com um conjunto de artistas bastante ecléctico.
A noite começa às 22h30, com o concerto de Frankie Chavez a fazer a apresentação do seu novo EP, que vai ser editado em breve pela Optimus Discos. A não perder.
A noite segue com Vitor Belanciano, o critico de música, em versão DJ. Não sabemos o que nos espera deste set, tudo pode acontecer… é ver e ouvir para crer.
De seguida, Piñacolada promete aquecer corações e pés na pista com a sua mistura muito própria de house e techno.

SÁBADO - 5 DE JUNHO - O BAILE COM NATHAN FAKE & DRUMS OF DEATH
Sábado dia 3 de Junho marca o regresso de um dos produtores de música electrónica mais respeitados do mundo a terras lusas. Nathan Fake um dos principais embaixadores da notória editora Border Community vai trazer o seu live act único para a cabine d’ O Baile. A juntar-se ao Nathan Fake, Madame e Lumin escolheram Drums of Death como segundo nome internacional. Este jovem produtor londrino tem vindo a fazer um trabalho extraordinário na àrea do electro, colaborando inclusivé com Peaches uma das grandes mestres do electroclash. Aos dois internacionais juntam-se a a dupla Stereo Addiction e a mais recente aquisição da Madame Management, Twofold em back to back com Switchst(d)ance, um dos jovens produtores e djs mais talentosos do underground de Lisboa.

SÁBADO - 13 DE FEVEREIRO - O BAILE VS. KALI RECORDS
As mentes por trás de “O Baile” foram responsáveis pelas mais memoráveis festas de 2009. Em Londres, clubes como o Sketch e o Bar Music Hall , foram invadidos pelo som português de nomes como Octa Push, Stereo Addiction e Tetine. De volta a Portugal “O Baile” convidou, para tocar em Lisboa músicos como Micachu & The Shapes e Jon Hopkins. Em Novembro a festa de anos da Madame foi inesquecível. Agora estamos de volta para mais danças. Desta vez é o aniversário da Lumin e da Joana e ninguém pode perder a festa.
2010 promete trazer ao “Baile” nomes frescos e excitantes misturados com artistas já estabelecidos, como é o caso do próximo evento. Para começar o ano em grande, “O Baile” decidiu juntar-se a uma das maiores e mais respeitadas promotoras de Lisboa - a Kalimodjo. No sábado dia 13 de Fevereiro, fim de semana de carnaval e véspera de S. Valentim, a equipa vai ocupar o LX Factory com “O Baile” vs. Kali Records, um evento épico que vai funcionar em duas áreas diferentes para dar espaço a tanta música - o Faktory e a Sala das Colunas.
A lista de artistas convidados é fora do comum e conta com Radioclit, e Plaid como cabeças de cartaz.
Mas não é tudo, o aquecimento vai contar com 6 representantes do melhor que se faz a nível de música electrónica em Portugal - DJ Ride, Octa Push, Drop Top, Zombies For Money, Zeder e Twofold. Não se esqueçam de reservar a data, porque esta vai ser, sem dúvida, uma das grandes festas de 2010.

CABARET XMAS PARTY POWERED BY MADAME
Christmas just wouldn’t be the same thing without a Cabaret event powered by Madame.
After filling up on turkey and bacalhau, be sure to make your way down to Alcântara for a night filled with the best that Portugal’s burgeoning dance music scene has to offer, in a space that will be decorated down to the smallest detail to ensure that this year’s event will be even bigger, bolder and better than last year’s legendary Cabaret Christmas evening.
On Friday the 25th of December, the mother of all christmas parties will be at Lx Factory. For those of you who remember last years’ epic bash at Teatro Ibérico then you will know that this is the one event you don’t want to miss this year, and, for those many hundreds who didn’t make it in last year, make sure to arrive early and to leave your desserts for after the party to ensure you are not left out in the cold. The evening is sure to start off with a bang, especially since the opening act will be none other than Portugal’s scratch champion, critically aclaimed producer and master of the turntables; DJ Ride (www.myspace.com/ridept)
DJ Ride has had a hugely successful 2009, his unbelievable skills behind the decks have led to many invitations to play abroad, he put out a new album that was lauded by portuguese critics far and wide as one of the records of the year, and he has released a collaboration with Kika Santos entitled “U Fill Me” which is on non-stop rotation on all major portuguese radios and MTV.
Since this event has a subtle hint of the old Madame magic, the Cabaret christmas DJ booth will once again welcome Portugal’s two biggest DJ duos; Heartbreakerz, who will be bringing their uniquely feminine brand of dancefloor magic to the evening’s proceedings, and Stereo Addiction whose headlining spot at last years’ event is still talked about in hushed tones. Joining the awesome foursome, will be one of Portugal’s newest and most promising DJ’s of 2009, Twofold.

O BAILE IN LISBON!
No Sábado dia 21 de Novembro Lisboa recebe, da capital inglesa, um evento que tem feito furor na noite londrina: “O Baile“, projecto que nasceu pela mão de Mariana Duarte Silva e Joana Seguro. As duas amigas tinham como ideia um showcase mensal para os novos talentos mais interessantes do underground português em Londres. Naturalmente, sendo Londres das cidades mais multiculturais do planeta, o conceito evoluiu para incluir também artistas internacionais. “O Baile” já teve como convidados um vasto leque de jovens talentos incluíndo Octa Push (que foram convidados, logo de seguida a actuar no Fabric e no Glade Festival), Bart Cruz, Gustavo Rodrigues, Bailarico Sofisticado, Twofold, Quayola, entre outros.
Em Novembro, e coincidindo com o aniversário da Madame, “O Baile” muda-se para terras lusas com um line up de luxo. Em primeiro lugar está Micachu & The Shapes, um conjunto inglês que tem feito as delícias da crítica nacional e internacional , o jornal “O Público” referiu-se a este projecto como sendo “autores de um dos discos do ano” e o “presente da pop”.
De seguida um artista que conta como fãs o lendário Brian Eno, Herbie Hancock e os Coldplay (a quem inclusivamente ajudou a produzir o seu último disco “Viva La Vida”) - o jovem Jon Hopkins vai trazer ao primeiro “Baile” lisboeta a sua fusão única de electrónica e texturas mais tradicionais em Live act.
Juntando-se a este cartaz extraordinário, “O Baile” ainda vai contar com DJ sets do visual artist italiano Quayola, e das duplas portuguesas do momento Stereo Addiction e Heartbreakerz que vão partilhar a cabine com Twofold, a cara do novo sangue electrónico em Portugal.
O local escolhido para este evento, que promete ser a festa do ano, é o The Loft em Lisboa.
Faltam apenas duas semanas para a estreia do “Baile”em terras lusas e, tal como prometido, temos mais informações a divulgar.
Em primeiro lugar, Tim Exile não vai poder estar presente . No seu lugar virá um dos pioneiros da electrónica alemã, Voltek em versão live act.
As portas abrem às 22 horas com o concerto de Micachu & The Shapes a começar às 22:30.
E porque sabem bem…. Vinha da Defesa será oferecido entre as 22:00 e as 23:00 aos presentes que poderão escolher entre tinto, branco ou rosé.

Chocolate Flavours is a weekly event bringing you the very best in Funky, Soulful, Jazzy and Hip-Hop flavoured beats and sounds. After a six year residency at popular Lisbon nightspot “Jamaica”, Chocolate Flavours is moving to LX Factory and altering it’s format. Every Thursday, starting on the 12th of November, the night will consist of a performance by a band, followed by a DJ set from an ever changing line up of guests invited by Chocolate Flavours resident DJ Johnny. YES WE CÃO - The world’s first store, fully dedicated to Bo, opens in Lisbon
Luís Alegre, the artist responsible for 1999’s Wonderwall phenomenon that invaded the walls of many Portuguese homes - POP photographs printed on canvas - and the mind behind various projects at the renowned Wrong Shop, presents his new collection entitled “Projecto Piloto“.
“Projecto Piloto” is dedicated to the greatest representative of Portuguese diplomacy: the White House’s new dog, known as Bo to his friends.
The official opening of this new concept will take place at the WONDER store, with an inauguration that will include a visit from Bo himself, and various other luminaries from Portugal’s lesser political scene.

Masters Underground, in conjunction with Madame, bring you another unbelievable night of music. June will mark the return of three of techno’s most prodigious talents to Lisbon.
Headlining the event will be the legendary Stephan Bodzin. Hailed as one of techno’s most influential, creative and popular producers, he has played all over the world, remixed everyone from Depeche Mode to The Knife, released music on the hippest labels from Get Physical to Systematic, and had his music hyped up by a wide spectrum of DJs, from Sven Vath to DJ Hell. Be sure to catch this dance music mastermind as he will surely provide a memorable climax to a night filled with fantastic sounds.
At only 21 years of age, the young Joseph Capriati has already had a massive impact on the international techno scene. His first foray into production came with his debut track “Microbiotik” which was played by such luminaries as Richie Hawtin, Paco Osuna, Magda and many others. It was then that he caught the attention of Italy’s own godfather of techno, Markantonio. The founder of the renowned Analytic Trail record label, responsible for releases by Valentino Kanzyani, David Squillace, among many others, immediately recognized the young Capriati’s talent and on the 5th of June they will be playing a special back-to-back DJ set at Domus.
As if this weren’t already enough, support will come from a lineup culled from Lisbon’s finest. Heading up the bill will be Stereo Addiction. Known far and wide for the mindblowing power of their awesome DJ sets and their outstanding production skills, the duo will surely be bringing their A-Game to the night’s proceedings. Backing them up will be Heartbreakerz, another double act whose sensual and hypnotic brand of danceloor magic will bring a welcome feminine touch to the event. Finally, kicking off the evening will be Señor Pelota, whose unique and eclectic blend of styles will ensure that the evening starts with a bang.

The line up has been handpicked from the finest the capital has to offer. Straight from the roster of Kismet Records, Jacob Husley and Peter Pixzel are the main DJ’s at Fabric’s legendary Wet Yourself parties. Joining them will be John&On, from another of London’s premier club nights - Always Fridays at The Egg.
Stereo Addiction will be sharing the DJ booth with the London luminaries, as a kind of thank you to their U.K hosts, helping to prove once and for all that Lisbon is the new London.

Puma and Madame have come together to bring you a very special event, the launch of the new Puma L.I.F.T Racers – taking place on the 6th of April at 20:30 at the Sportzone store in Cascaishopping.
To liven up this very special ocasion and straight from the world’s party central, Ibiza, comes Rui Da Silva. The maverick producer has made an exclusive mix just for the event and he will be deejaying at the launch of the lightest tennis shoe on the market.
