Boom Festival is coming!

The world renowned Boom Festival is well known for the variety and ecletic nature of it’s lineups. The 2010 edition starts on the 18th of August and ends on the 26th. The main stage continues it’s tradition as a major showcase for international trance pioneers. The Groovy Beach stage however, will host artists from a multitude of different electronic music genres - from Techno, to Dubstep to Drum and Bass and Hip-Hop. The organizers, who include portuguese music scene heavyweights such as Gustavo Rodrigues of Stereo Addiction, have put together a lineup of over 70 DJs and producers from amongst the cream of the national and international electronic music scene. The 9 day festival will host performances from A Guy Called Gerald whose impact and influence on current dance music is nigh-on unrivalled, Alan Fitzpatrick, who has been namechecked by Carl Cox, Dubfire and Adam Beyer as being one of techno’s most interesting artists, Alex Under the spanish super producer whose hits include El Encuentro (which was remixed by Richie Hawtin) or El Danubio Universal, Minilogue whose monster tunes like Elephant’s Parade and The Leopard have catapulted them to pioneer status, among many others. The portuguese performers are equally inspiring with names such as Expander, Bart Cruz, Kaesar, Re:Axis and Stereo Addiction playing before and after the international heavyweights. For true fans of awe inspiring dance music, the Boom Festival is truly unmissable.

O Boom Festival é reconhecido e respeitado em todo o mundo pela variedade e ecletismo dos seus cartazes com uma variedade inigualável a nível de música electrónica. Na edição de 2010, que decorre entre os dias 18 e 26 de Agosto - o palco prinicipal vai manter a sua tradição de ser um dos melhores showcases do mundo para os pioneiros do Trance. No entanto o palco Groovy Beach vai ter artistas de vários géneros de techno a dubstep ou drum n bass. Os organizadores, entre os quais se encontra Gustavo Rodrigues dos Stereo Addiction, reuniram mais de 70 DJs e produtores de entre os mais relevantes da música de dança actual a nível nacional e internacional. Destacam-se nomes como o mítico A Guy Called Gerald, cuja música é incontornável na história da electrónica, O sueco Alan Fitzpatrick que já foi referido por Carl Cox, Dubfire e Adam Beyer como sendo um dos artistas mais interessantes dos últimos anos, Alex Under o produtor espanhol que assinou temas clássicos como El Encuentro (que conta com uma remistura de Richie Hawtin) ou El Danubio Universal, ou os Minilogue cujas faixas como Elephant’s Parade e The Leopard os catapultaram para o estatuto de pioneiros do techno minimal.
